Many layers of steel are added, along with the weld material itself to create this three-dimensional Owl. Each owl is truly unique, a one-of-a-kind! It is finished with natural patina and sealed with a matte sealer. The toes on the feet are spread so it can easily be set on wood or on a favorite rock. Note one photo shows the back of the owl. This sculpture is inspired by the Sonoran Desert Elf Owl and is dimensioned to reflect that species. Natural patina colors are encouraged, then the piece is rubbed down. After colors are final, the owl is sealed to reduce further rusting.
